Project Scope
Ingenia was engaged by Adelaide Brighton Cement to provide comprehensive project management for the installation of a new hardstand for truck movements at their Birkenhead facility, alongside repairs to a site truck wash. The previous pavement had deteriorated over the years, prompting the need for a new hardstand solution that met current regulations and traffic requirements.
The project scope included resurfacing hardstand areas with bitumen, upgrading the site drainage system, and replacing roadways to ensure durability and compliance.
Ingenia managed every aspect of the project, from initial concept and civil assessments to the completion of the bitumen installation and final handover to the client. Our project management services also encompassed the design concept, ensuring a seamless transition from planning to execution.
Challenges
One of the key challenges highlighted by Adelaide Brighton Cement was the need to minimise disruptions to truck movements in and around the project area, essential for maintaining the continuous flow of products throughout the facility.
Ingenia collaborated closely with the client and contractors to align project milestones with the operational needs of the plant. This included developing a communication plan for the client’s workforce and coordinating revised truck movement strategies with site personnel and subcontractors.

The project was delivered successfully, meeting and exceeding the client’s expectations!
Ingenia’s team of experienced mechanical, civil, and structural engineers, along with skilled drafters, were proud to bring this significant project to life, demonstrating our expertise in project management for complex industrial sites.
